What is Dementia: Understanding the Journey?

Dementia: Understanding is a complete, 27-hour online course that provides person centred dementia education to a broad range of health care professionals. Throughout the course, participants will deepen their understanding of dementia, learn best practices and practical approaches, and gain a set of useful resources that can be implemented into their daily work life. 

What is required for this course?

  • Participants must have access to a computer with webcam and audio, as well as a secure internet connection.

  • The course is discussion-based and will require collaboration among participants. 

  • You must commit to a total of 27 hours and complete your final project in order to receive your certification.

How will this course be delivered?

Dementia: Understanding the Journey will be delivered online. We will help you set up the delivery platform and provide ongoing technical support throughout all sessions.

What will I receive?

Once you have completed all sessions and presented your final project, you will receive a certificate through the Dementia Understand The Journey Association.
